Weekend Project

The "before" picture isn't the greatest, but you can get the idea. Dana gets all the credit for the stone, I just helped with the prep work and flowers.

More updated pictures

A lot of people have been after us to update pictures on the blog - we keep telling people now you just have to come see us to see everything all complete. But here are some final pictures and especially for those in Missouri :) We have been moved in/living here for 2 months and things are going GREAT!!!! We are still doing little things along like touch-up paint etc. but we're all settled and ready for visitors! Thanks for following us throughout the process and you'll be hearing from us soon about the house warming party!! :) :)

The puppy dogs absolutely love the new house and their new room that goes out to their fence. They like to come in and sleep more than anything though.
This is the screened porch looking out to the deck area and the side/back yard. You can see the corn and the beans growing.

This is the back view but also the lattice I did myself and the rocks around.

Full view of front yard, driveway, fence, bball court, and house.

Movie room posters and the Grammy "Grand Opening" - Thanks Mary! :)

The Martha Stewart dining room :)

Full view of the kitchen.

State Champs!!

Congratulations to IWA for winning their State Championship this past Saturday!!

Awwwww :-)

The one with the pictures!

So let's see since last we spoke, Dana and I took a week off work to try and get the house is some sort of order. While we were able to get lots done, she still has a little ways to go. We are still waiting on the dining room furniture, and the remainder of my bedroom furniture, as well as the desks for the office area and the workout equipment. We have been busy putting stuff away, giving stuff away, and throwing stuff away. It's amazing how much you can accumulate in such a little amount of time! Anyway here are some pictures of what's been going on! Enjoy!

The partially finished garage...How bout that awesome banner! :)

New furniture...I melt on that couch! (notice Devil trying to get in the shot!)

Fireplace/bookshelf..tv looks great up there. (Again Devil tries to get in the shot!)

Afternoon quickie

Just a quick one today. We got the official "Certificate of Occupancy" yesterday!!!! The directTV folks came out and hooked the tv's up, and the phone folks should be out there today. We also are doing lots of shopping!! They will be delivering new living room furniture, dining room furniture and a bed room suite soon!

We are planning on spending the weekend and all of next week getting moved in and situated. So hopefully that housewarming party everyone has been asking about will happen soon!

All done!

The good stuff

Well needless to say LOTS has happened in the last couple of weeks! As a matter of fact we are pretty much on the last leg of the race! We actually started moving some stuff in last night! We can't stay there until we get the final inspection and the CO, which is hopefully coming soon.

All the inside stuff is done, with the exception of two minor things the plumbers need to take care of. The phone people are coming out Friday, and the DirectTV folks will be out Wed. to get the tv's up and running! We dropped a water sample off at the lab this morning to make sure you won't grow a third arm when drinking our water! Our list of "To do's" is getting bigger and bigger!

We are taking a stab at the Final Inspection for tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed! :)

Anyway....here is the good stuff...the pictures!!!

Aruba!!

1st things first. We just got back from an Amazing vacation in Aruba! Here are a few pic's of the island. It wasn't the greatest timing for a vacation with everything going on at the house, but luckily we only had a few phone calls/emails all week and could concentrate on the important stuff like getting a tan :)

I'll follow up this post with one on the house, but I couldn't resist sharing some pics!

Everyone's favorite breakfast "Zucaritas"
